Who is Lynn Twiss?

Well, I’m Lynn. Contrary to what all the telemarketers think: I’m male. My adopted parents named me Lynn because they both liked the name. Their family doctor and close friend’s name was Lynn (J. Lynn Axling). My middle name, Arthur, was chosen after my adopted mother’s twin brother, who died at birth.

1973 First picture ever. Lynn Twiss - Lakewood General Washington - Adoption February 16 1973I was born in Tacoma (Lakewood General, now St. Clare) Washington on February 16 1973. I was adopted at birth (at 2 and a half months, I was allowed to go home with my new family) by my father John Twiss and mother Wanda Twiss. I was a whopping 5 pounds 5.5 ounces and was 20″ long.

Here are some nerdy birth stats:

  • Premature: 3 weeks
  • Labor: 12 hour duration
  • Delivered: by H. Herbert Meier, M.D.
  • Registrar: by Harlan P. McNutt, M.D.
  • Time: 5:28 PM 02/16/1973 (February 16, 1973)
  • Hospital: Lakewood General Hospital (Now St. Clare)
  • Blood Type: O+
  • Birthmarks: Red strawberry mark on neck behind ear. Light red on left eye-lid
  • Release from Hospital: 02/22/1973

I have some paperwork that shows that prior to be given a name by my adopted family, that I was called: Baby Boy Lucas.

I’m bald. I’m short. I’m living in Portland Oregon now after a long absence to Kalispell Montana. I had a pretty good job for the past ten years and am now looking for another one. I like love music.(see below) I spend far to much time in front of computers. I’m arguably fun. I consider my friends my family and many in my family are my friends. I prefer Velveeta Shells and Cheese to Kraft Mac’n Cheese. I like books. I like comics books better. I like coffee. I’m going to go drink some now.

How do you get in touch with me?

What is a stonethorn?

Stonethorn was the name of my Dungeons & Dragons character Vael Lashar’s horse in our seven year campaign with Scott Martin as our storyteller (GM) in Warrenton-Astoria Oregon. Vael was a chaotic neutral half-drow ranger/assassin (yes, he had two friggin scimitars, but that wasn’t my choice! Scott pretty much forced those on me.) In the course of the campaign (for Woofie’s character, Rathlin, to reclaim his throne) Vael received (I can’t remember how – I’m sure Woof does) a stone chess piece. This piece, once a power word was spoken, would transform into a heavy warhorse I named: Stone. A few years later, an adventure in a laboratory, a mad alchemist was creating roses that had poisoned thorns. If a living being were pricked by the rose’s poison, long permanent bone thorns would tear from your skeletal structure – usually killing you (there was a possibility of survival but it was painful and very damaging). Stone was struck by a thorn, but managed to survive. Every time Vael activated the chess piece and it became Stone, he was bathed in the thorns. I then renamed him to Stonethorn.

The name stuck.

Music? What kinds do you like?

I adore industrial and the more dark styled musics. You name the subgenre: coldwave, ebm, darkwave, industrial, industrial-dance, gothic, ethereal, some sythpop or future, I listen to it all! As highly critical of it as I am, know that it’s only because I do indeed love it so!

Have you got a job yet?

So you worked for a firearms company. Are you some raging Republican that voted for Bush?!

This is usually uttered with this look that if I respond in a positive, they’re going to go rabid religious-zealot on me. So, to answer this question as graphically as possible without putting down a lot of words that people will twist and use against me, here this a meme export of my standing in the crapmire that is American two-sided polisphere:
