Today marks some larger changes to the site.
First, some of you received an email notification for the first time today. I went through my address books and dug up every email address I had that was attached to names of people I care for, miss or am about to see soon with my recent news of relocation. I hope you keep yourself on the list but if you want off, let me know.
I am working at making stonethorn far more graphical in nature, and more of a visual storytelling device. This begins with added faces to all the names on this site. I’ll do this by adding ‘roll over’ images that are tagged to names. If there is a picture associated with a name, the website will show a little blue dotted line under the name. Scroll your mouse over the top of the name and a small picture will pop up. This is also a link to a new section of the site I call: ALLIES. Allies is a work in progress right now. I intend to put images up of just about everyone that has had a place in my life. There are few up now – just what was sitting on my laptop at the moment. I’ll put more up as time goes on. If you don’t like the image I have of you up, let me know, or send me one you want to see up (I like seeing pictures I don’t have – especially digital ones).

UPDATE: I have enabled a mobile edition of the site. For those of you that use cellphones or wireless PDAs for webviewing, the site now looks clean and simple – without all the flashy images and design.

For those of you that have usernames and actually login. I have added a new feature. These are called: Gravatars. They are ‘avatars’ that you can upload and use in your comments. Signing up couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is check the box below the comment feild to sign up and enter a password. In a short time, Gravatar will email you with login info and how to upload a picture of yourself that gets posted with every comment. Easy! Do it!
