I have been a fan of Frank Millers Sin City since its launch years and years ago. Over that time I have become increasingly more critical of his works, and feel he has slipped in the quality department a LOT. There have been rumblings of a movie rendition of Sin City for sometime – motion capture 3d, pure animation etc. Live action always seemed a fantasy. Never was there a period it seemed plausible. Robert Rodriguez changed all of that.
The initial plan was to watch this noir tale on Friday; it didn’t work out that way.

My only previous exposure to Sin City was through our lovely Lynn…but even limited as my exposure was I do think that the movie has paid an important homage to the comics by remaining faithful to the imagry of the world. Which of course was the intent. Kudos to Rodriguez for quitting the Directors guild when they refused to let Frank Miller have a directing credit without being a part of the guild.
kudos to gugino for showing everybody her boobs.
