I certainly wouldn’t have thought of a Goth as a “Simple Folk”. Isn’t that like calling Boise small? Or maybe like playing no industrial music on Industria night? It is all starting to make sense now.

I do enjoy myself there, that’s why I go. I simply think that an event called Industria, should play actual industrial. If it’s truly “(for all intents & purposes) Goth Night” then the promoters should think about calling it Gothica. Not Industria. Please also note that my post starts by stating that the criticism I have with music holds true in Portland as well. I’m not saying Boise’s GI scene sucks in comparison to Portland; I’m saying that I have an equal amount of criticism for both. Additionally, I do like Depeche Mode, just not 4 times in one night, when there are thousands of great Industrial acts to choose from.

Also, Boise (pop: 250k) is about half the size of Portland (pop: 500k), so in my book Boise is a big city too and to use an excuse of “simple folk” is snarky.

Unless Of Course, You Simply Move On. Ya Know, They Gotta Great All You Can Drink Night @ The Loft On Thursday, & If Your So Unhappy W/ Depesche Mode, Maybe You Aughta Wet Your Beak On Some Gangsta Rap. Won’t That Be Fun?!
