Since grade school, I’ve had two passions: computers and the cinema. What began as a programming class on a Commodore PET computer at school in the 80s, became a hobby I enjoyed at home. My love of cinema lead me to begin pursuing a career in the movies. After schooling and a few production positions on large-budgeted major-motion pictures, I decided that my heart and head found more enjoyment in the interactive work I was enjoying in my spare time. I bowed out of the movie business and swung over into interactive brand development; the year was 1994. At that time it wasn’t so aptly titled a role, but was more simply: webmaster. As the company grew, so did my role and ownership over all facets of the company’s brand exposure. My experiences were not limited to web based projects, but traditional avenues and media buying as well. From a small company, to one of the industries most revered, envied and successful, I maintained the Marketing and Communications Manager role.
In 2005, I longed to be back in the city I cherish: Portland, and took my leave of the company I helped build. I quickly found a home in the thriving advertising industry. My strength in managing interactive projects was quickly seen and I found myself moving away from a blended role and being solely involved with interactive brand campaigns and marketing launches. My technical experience coupled with my light-hearted and quick personality made me a perfect fit for inspiring teams of the best and brightest.
Currently, I am working with some of the worlds best brands and products on many differing interactive projects as a freelance interactive producer in the Portland, Oregon region.
