While driving down Broadwater Avenue the other day, I saw a sign “Keep Christ in Christmas” brought to us by the martyrs at St Pius Church. Watching any newscast these days, you can’t help but hear “…taking the Christ out of Christmas…”, which the ACLU is ubiquitously blamed for being behind. There’s even talk of boycotting stores that don’t say “Merry Christmas” instead of the more inclusive “Happy Holidays”.

I find this whole concept ridiculous, frankly. One of the more outspoken opponents to this siege of the birth of mankind’s supposed “savior”, is Bill O’ Reilly. He’s upset that stores are using “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”, though he himself, on his billoreilly.com online shop sells a “No Spin HOLIDAY ornament”. HOLIDAY ornament??? Jesus Christ, Bill, he who lives in a glass fuckin house, pal! The irony of this little “oversight” is humorous to say the least.

Listen, Christian America, we live in a country of diversity. Diversity doesn’t merely mean many races living amongst each other. Diversity also includes, but is not exclusive to: Lifetyles, political ideaologies, spiritual and religious beliefs and moral standards. It’s not going to kill you to recognize that other religions have holidays at the same time as Christmas, and it CERTAINLY won’t kill you to have to listen to “Happy Holidays” as opposed to the rather exclusive “Merry Christmas”. Besides, Happy Holidays is FAR easier to say than “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”. It’s a HOLIDAY SEASON, not just ONE holiday. Deal with it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, let Jesus be the ONLY martyr for your faith, people. Crawl down off of your crosses and stop being so butt-hurt that America is a land of several spiritual beliefs. You may be the majority, but listen to youselves. For being the HUGE majority in this land, you act like you’re not being allowed to celebrate Christmas by the pagan overlords that don’t share your beliefs. Be happy that you can celebrate your Christmas the way you want to, you have that right. Just because a clerk at a store tells you “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” isn’t going to ruin your Christmas. But, if you let it “taint” your holidays, you’re a TOTAL buttfuck and I can only hope that you don’t exercise your right to vote.

Just shut the fuck up and stop pretending that you’re religiously persecuted and save that for us non-Christians who actually ARE treated with disrust and disrespect by you, the “moral” majority. I always hear Christians saying “What Would Jesus Do?”, if we’re to interpret that by your example, Jesus would be whining NON-STOP. Try to set an example by quietly celebrating your faith in the spirit and letter of it’s tenets.

You might not know it, but I frequently watch the O’Reilly Factor on Fox News Channel. NOT because I agree with the views expressed on the show, mainly just to get a nightly sense of outrage about the subject matter.

First of all, Bill O’ Reilly calls his show “The No Spin Zone”. Ummm, it’s a news analysis show, painted with your own opinions, Bill. That pretty much DEFINES “spin”. You might try to get off on a technicality, but if you’re painting your opinion onto news stories, you’re “spinning” them. Face facts, fucko!

I just got done watching a story about how Ann Coulter was shouted off stage at a speech she wad supposed to give at some college in New England. O’Reilly says something to the effect of “The ‘left-wing’ radicals always try to defame people they don’t agree with…” That’s pretty funny, considering anyone who doesn’t agree with the president or the war in Iraq is automatically painted “Anti-American” by the Republicans.

Just a little food for thought, you little right-wing pigeon! Stop trying to play up the fucking HUGE rift that exists in this country by pretending that your shit don’t stink. Both sides are guilty of defaming and harassing one another. And just because one side may be more crass in their vocalizations of disagreement, doesn’t make them any less “Patriotic” than you ‘right-wing’ folk. Freedom of speech, baby!!! THAT’S as American as you can fucking GET!

YES, I lost my focus. I’ve been sucked back into World of Warcraft and that’s sapped my free time for the past couple of months… There WILL be updates, I promise, I just can’t commit to a timeframe. Now I know how president Bush feels about Iraq troop withdrawals.
